Sev GT (they/he/she) is a comic artist and illustrator based in the Midwest US. They attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in 2019. The focus of their study was mainly comics, zinemaking, illustration, printmaking, and painting.

They are a huge bug lover, enthusiast (in general and especially) of queer people and queer stories, and occasional handpoke tattooist. They enjoy working with themes of identity, religion, fantasy, and othering.

Sev is currently working on WINGS, a fantastical dark comedy, and Solitaire, an otherworldly personal project.

Frequently asked questions

q: what program and tablet do you use to draw?

a: I use Clip Studio Paint on a 27” Wacom monitor.

q: do you do commissions? will you take mine?

a: I absolutely take commissions! whether or not i will take yours depends on my availability and the subject matter. i reserve the right to turn down any commission for any reason. also, I have jobs and projects besides doing commissions, so commissions will sometimes take me a good chunk of time, please be patient! my rate is $25/hr and

q: can i repost / edit / translate your work?

a: i would prefer if you didn’t, however, if you’d really like to, please get my consent: contact me via DM first (or scroll down and shoot an e-mail my way) so that i can be aware of where my art is ending up and approve its use.

q: can i put your work on a t-shirt / postcard / print / button?

a: unless i’m getting a cut of the money you make, that’s gonna be a hard no. however, i am more than happy to collaborate with you on a project, just scroll down and send me an e-mail— we can discuss it!
